The Pratt Center for Art, Design, and Community Engagement K-12 seeks to advance access to art and design for all school-age children in New York City. With over a 100 years of designing and offering programs, the Center K-12 leverages the resources and expertise of the Institute to support school-age children, city-wide public schools, and youth-serving organizations.

Programs serve over 700 children, ages 6-18, on campus year round and almost 500 children, grades 6-12, off campus in local schools; K-12 programs and laboratories supports faculty and student research in teaching and learning; and our advocacy seeks to close the opportunity gaps in education to ensure that all children have access to advanced studies and college preparation in art and design.
